3. Prayer Requests and Confidentiality
Brenda Crouch Ministries treats prayer requests with care and discretion.
Access to Prayer Requests
Prayer requests submitted through the Website are available only to authorized ministry leaders who reasonably need access to pray for the request, respond to the individual, or provide appropriate ministry follow-up.
Brenda Crouch Ministries does not maintain a public prayer wall. Prayer requests submitted through the Website will not be intentionally posted publicly.
A Website hosting provider, form provider, email provider, or other technology service provider may technically process or transmit the information as necessary to operate the prayer-request form and deliver the request to the Ministry.
Public Sharing
We will not intentionally publish or publicly share your name, prayer request, testimony, personal story, photograph, or identifying information without your permission, except when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to address a serious and immediate safety concern.
We may share a prayer request in an anonymized or generalized form that does not reasonably identify you. When practical, we will seek permission before sharing even an anonymized personal story in a public ministry communication.
Information About Other People
Please avoid including another person’s:
- Full name
- Address
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Medical records
- Financial information
- Account information
- Other identifying or confidential information
When possible, use a first name, initials, relationship, or general description rather than identifying another person.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to provide personal information about someone else.
Emergencies
The prayer-request form is not continuously monitored and should not be used to report:
- A medical emergency
- An immediate threat of suicide or self-harm
- An immediate threat of violence
- Suspected abuse requiring immediate intervention
- Another urgent safety matter
In an emergency, contact 911, local emergency services, law enforcement, or an appropriate crisis or professional resource.
Submitting a prayer request does not create a medical, mental-health, legal, fiduciary, or professional counseling relationship. It also does not guarantee an immediate response from the Ministry.
Legally Required and Safety-Related Disclosures
Although we seek to handle prayer requests discreetly, absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, a court order, subpoena, or lawful governmental request
- Fulfill an applicable reporting obligation
- Address a credible and immediate threat of serious harm
- Protect the safety, rights, or property of an individual, the Ministry, or the public
- Investigate fraud, unlawful activity, or a security incident
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal rights
4. Email Communications and Mailchimp
We use Mailchimp to manage email subscriptions and deliver ministry communications.
Information submitted through a Mailchimp subscription form may be transferred to and processed by Mailchimp under its applicable privacy terms.
We may use subscriber information to:
- Send newsletters and devotionals
- Share ministry news and announcements
- Provide event information
- Send fundraising or donation communications
- Respond to subscriber questions
- Manage subscription preferences
- Evaluate email engagement and performance
You may unsubscribe from nonessential emails at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link contained in the email.
After you unsubscribe, we or Mailchimp may retain limited information on a suppression list to document and honor your request.
Submitting a prayer request, booking inquiry, or donation does not automatically subscribe you to our general marketing or newsletter list unless:
- You separately request or agree to receive those communications; or
- Applicable law otherwise permits the communication.
Any optional subscription checkbox should not be preselected.
5. Donations
Brenda Crouch Ministries, Inc. may accept financial and non-cash charitable contributions in support of its religious and charitable mission.
A. Online Financial Donations Through Tithe.ly
Online financial donations are processed through Tithe.ly.
When you select a donation link on the Website, you are redirected away from the Brenda Crouch Ministries Website to a donation page operated by Tithe.ly.
Payment information entered on that page is collected and processed by Tithe.ly and its payment or banking partners under their own terms and privacy policies.
Depending on the payment method you select, Tithe.ly may collect:
- Credit or debit card information
- Bank-account or ACH information
- Billing information
- Contact information
- Device and transaction information
- Information used to authenticate the payment or prevent fraud
Because the donation transaction takes place on Tithe.ly’s website, Brenda Crouch Ministries does not directly collect or store your complete credit-card number, card security code, or complete bank-account credentials through its Website.
Tithe.ly may provide Brenda Crouch Ministries with limited donor and transaction information, including:
- Donor name and contact information
- Donation amount and date
- Donation designation
- Transaction identification number
- Transaction status
- Whether a donation is recurring
- Payment type
- Limited payment details, such as the card type or final digits of the card
- Information needed for accounting, reporting, and donation acknowledgments
Questions about information entered directly on the Tithe.ly donation page should also be directed to Tithe.ly.
B. Recurring Donations
When you establish a recurring donation, Tithe.ly may retain a secure payment token or other payment credentials needed to process future contributions.
You may manage or cancel a recurring donation through Tithe.ly or by contacting Brenda Crouch Ministries at info@brendacrouch.com.
A cancellation request may not reverse a donation that has already been processed.
C. Non-Cash Donations
Brenda Crouch Ministries may accept certain non-cash or in-kind contributions by prior arrangement and at the Ministry’s discretion.
Examples may include:
- Goods or supplies
- Equipment
- Vehicles
- Securities
- Real or personal property
- Professional or donated services
- Other property or assets
When you offer or make a non-cash contribution, we may collect:
- Your name and contact information
- A description of the donated property
- The date the property was offered or received
- The quantity and general condition of the property
- Photographs or supporting documentation
- Information about restrictions or intended purposes
- Information needed for acknowledgment, accounting, insurance, transportation, storage, or legal purposes
- Information required to complete applicable tax or charitable-contribution documentation
Brenda Crouch Ministries may share information concerning a non-cash contribution with authorized ministry personnel and appropriate professional service providers, including accountants, attorneys, appraisers, brokers, transportation providers, storage providers, insurers, or financial institutions.
Unless required by law or separately agreed in writing, Brenda Crouch Ministries does not determine the value of donated property for the donor. Donors are responsible for obtaining their own tax, legal, and valuation advice.
The Ministry may decline a proposed non-cash contribution when accepting it would be inconsistent with its mission, create unreasonable costs or obligations, present safety or legal concerns, or otherwise be impractical.
D. Donation Acknowledgments and Records
We may use donor information to:
- Process and administer contributions
- Confirm transactions
- Provide donation acknowledgments or receipts
- Maintain financial and accounting records
- Manage recurring donations
- Respond to donor questions
- Prevent fraud or unauthorized transactions
- Comply with tax, audit, insurance, and legal requirements
- Evaluate fundraising and ministry support
- Carry out donor instructions that the Ministry has agreed to accept
Any statement concerning the deductibility of a contribution is subject to applicable law. Donors should consult their own tax advisers regarding their individual circumstances.
E. Donor Privacy
Brenda Crouch Ministries does not sell or rent its donor list or donor personal information to other organizations for their independent marketing or fundraising purposes.
We will not publicly disclose your identity as a donor or the amount of your contribution unless:
- You give us permission;
- You request or select public recognition;
- Public recognition is clearly disclosed as part of a campaign; or
- Disclosure is required by law.
You may ask to remain anonymous in public donor-recognition materials. An anonymous public donation may still require Brenda Crouch Ministries and Tithe.ly to retain identifying information for payment processing, accounting, fraud prevention, donation acknowledgments, and legal compliance.
F. Designated Contributions
We will make reasonable efforts to use designated contributions for an accepted ministry program, campaign, or charitable purpose.
Unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of the donation, Brenda Crouch Ministries retains discretion and control over donated funds and property in accordance with its charitable purposes, governing documents, policies, and applicable law.
